Post Construction

So after we’ve taken you from “Concept to Completion” what’s next. Many builders are decent at step one, average at step 2 but fall short on step 3. They have some issues standing behind their product and following up on callbacks. Well here is a quick explanation of how our Post Construction process works.

1 Year Home Warranty

We are members of the local Home Builders Association and therefore offer their standard 1 year warranty. We’re also members of the National Home Builders Association and they help keep up us date on trends in technology, materials and regulations.

Punch List

Perry Lyons personally walks through every one of his custom contract homes before closing. He does a proactive and extensive punch list. Just ask Buck Steinbach his superintendent. He knows how comprehensive they can be. Many builders just wait for you or the realtor to point out any imperfections.

Closing

Perry Lyons personally comes to closing and will be there for any last minute issues. Linda is also key in the preparation before closing. At the closing Perry provides a personal closing book with key documents and information organized for your benefit. P.L. Callbacks

Let’s face it- callbacks happen. Even though we use the best materials available in the market. They are not the same materials your moms and dads built with. Lumber is not the same along with some other products. That being said you will have some nail pops, some concrete settling, and things like appliances aren’t made like they used to be. The good news is that you’re not alone in dealing with these issues. We’re a phone call away. If someone tells you something is maintenance free- run. Nothing is truly maintenance free. The key is do the pick up the phone when you call or do they answer the emails you send.

1 Year Walk Through

At the end of the first year from the date of close, we’ll schedule a time to come out and walk through your home according the the standard HBAL 1 Year Warranty agreement. We’ll note the issues and resolve them to the best of our ability.

Repeat Business
